Hey there Tim,

I'll be the first to admit that I'm no health expert or certified nutritionist. But depending on your height, you may want to shave off a few pounds? I mean that in the most sincere way possible. I recently discovered the ketogenic (keto) and paleo nutrition standard and it has totally changed my life. I'd check into it if I were you. It helped me shed a few pounds while still making great progress as far as overall fitness and training for Pararescue. PM if you have any questions about it, I'd love to help anyway that I can.

I'll second Elliott on the Paleo (or, as I do, the Primal Blueprint) type diet...do some research and look at the benefits...I dropped a significant amount of weight and am able to maintain it without problems doing "old guy" type PT (cals/lifting, biking, and some sprints/tabata)...got a couple guys at work on it (both retired PJs also) and they are loving it too...do some research on it, I learned a lot at marksdailyapple.com and there are other sources.
