took my PAS test on saturday and was expecting the "new" version that is posted on the site. the recruiter who administered the test told me that this updated version of the test was only for incoming recruits and not cross-trainees. i passed the test so it isn't a big deal, but just wondering for my own knowledge. also, what the hell is a chin-up and what is a pull-up? i always thought chin-ups were palms facing you and pull-ups were palms facing out on the bar. this guy made me do palms facing out (pull-ups?) and also hang for two minutes after i squeeked out number nine. i tried to argue with him a little bit as i hung there working on my tan, but he was a MSgt. thankya.

He gave you the wrong test. You are correct about the pulls and chins...chin-ups are palms facing towards your body, pulls are palms away from your body. Even the old PAST says chin-ups OR pull-ups...in ONE minute...he is really using old material...

You need to go to the contact page and give him TSgt Hick's number/email so he can set him straight.

You probably took the one listed here:

http://www.specialtactics.com/pjretrainingupdate.shtml

Unfortunately, the word doesn't always get out, when changes happen...I can't really blame the recruiters (most of the time), but they need to be set straight. You can have him call me also at DSN 574-8323/8165.
