Was wondering if anyone knows the dates for CCT Selection Course during FY 2013 or if they have even been released yet? I both searched and Googled it. Couldn't seem to find out anything

I noticed these are different than the dates posted earlier. My question is are there still only 30 people per class or has that changed as well.

Thank you for posting this TE.

I added class allocations to the CCSC courses. FY13 classes are still allocated 30. Combat Control School is also set at 30 but remember things can change. There are still slots open in all the CCSC course this FY.

Thanks for the dates TE. How do these dates transfer over to SOWT trainees? I know they attend the same selection, but are they allotted the same selection school dates? I am trying to get together with my recruiter to get an understanding of when a slot could drop.

Waterbear. There is not telling how many guys you will be on team with during selection. My team had 44 guys on it. if i remember right about 10 were SOWT. I have also heard of teams with only 20 people at the start.

At what rate are the slots usually filled?

Does anybody know the dates and the number of slots they may have for the 3 day retrainee selection phase at hurlburt? Or a poc I could get in touch with to find out the information I seek. Thanks guys...

The selection course issue is confusing me a little. I keep reading about the selection course but only in regards to cross-trainees. I am prior service active duty Air Force and am wondering if the selection course applies to everyone trying to go CCT or is it only for cross-trainees with everyone else "non prior and prior service" going through INDOC. I also remember reading about CCT no longer even doing an INDOC. On a different issue while I'm at it, these tentative FY 2013 CCT class dates keeps me hopeful in a sense that they seem pretty consistant and back to back. But as a prior service memeber I think I have maybe less than a handful of slots to compete for throughout the entire year. Is this correct?

Crosstrainee selection course is only for crosstrainees. CCT no longer do Indoc but go through Combat Control Selection Course at Lackland. You are correct, as a prior service member, you will compete for a very limited number of slots (usually 3 or so each FY).

Thank you for the clarification. I completely understand why there are so few slots for prior service members not just for career opportunities such as these but for all AFSCs. Either way it's still unfortunate. Sounds like it's possible for me to be waiting years before my PS opportunity is available.

Get with a recruiter, get everything done (paperwork, PAST, etc.) then hopefully you'll be well positioned to make a go at it.

Question, do the crosstrainees that are based out of hurlburt field ( after working hard making it pass cct selection course and combat control orientation at lackland ) TDY out of hurlburt field to there next classes intil they reach combat control apprentice course ( CCS ) at pope? And if so would those retrainees be able to sign out of there squadron and sign into the special tactics training squadron on hurlburt? I heard this from my friend that is a STO about to PCS to his first base, but wanted to just double check. Plus i know there is a lot of guys from hurlburt field on here would love to know if this is true. Thank you all for your time and help.

I believe that only applies to guys coming from overseas that go to Hulbert, not people already stationed stateside. They will go TDY from their current unit and will report back to that unit in between schools.

TE, any word on FY 2013 CCSC dates other than the tentative ones listed above?
