The 125th STS is looking for trainees to fill 2007 training pipeline slots. We have an aggresive recruiting effort already underway, but I wanted to post here also. If you have any questions, go to www.125specialtactics.com for more info!

For those interested, the team and expecially the leadership up at Portland is and has been awesome. I was fortunate to have been selected to be apart of the 125th over a year ago. Since that time I have been through some of the best training the Air Force has with tremendous support from all the personnel up at the 125th. They have not only helped me, but have also helped my wife with some medical issues while I was away at school.

I got a tour of the squadron and took a PAST in early December. For those those looking into the Gaurd, this is the place to be. Great people, a great location, and a great job. What else can you ask for.

What is the 125th STS mission going to be? Are you going to support OIF/OEF with TAC's/Survey Teams? What type of currency training are you guys doing, the same as the other ST units? I.E. attending outside courses and schools. Thanks. JB

Great Forum Hots, just so everyone knows...if there are any questions about the process of becoming a member of Oregon Air National Guard, feel free to ask here and I will chime in if there are any recruiter specific questions.

For all of you out there looking for something to be apart of that means something and that you will really be valued as a team member, you can not find a better place than the 125th STS. This unit is all about getting it done. No BS, mission focused! Definately worth you looking into.

Thanks,

This is not the place to ask recruiter specific questions. That should go in general questions forum.

Are PJs ever going to be assigned to the 125th? Not sure if you guys work the the Portland PJs much...just curious.

TE, ANG has not provided slots for PJ's unfortanetly. Yes we work with the 304th as recent as the Mt. Hood rescue. We have been slow to work with alot of folks due to our conversion and the gear getting to us slowly. But now we are rolling in new gear and funds and ready to work with all!

Everyone reading this should at least go to the website and check out the videos. The CCT one you might have seen, but the superman one is new to me. Very cool, thanks.

I know this thread has not been active for quite some time, but was wondering if anyone has information regarding the 125 STS in Portland? Former active duty, current NYANG guardsman looking to crosstrain into CCT and this seems to be a great option. Thank you in advance!

Portland ANG has CCT and SOWT but no PJs (the Reserve unit there has PJs but no CCT or SOWT). They are still recruiting Operators.

Try going to www.goang.com/state/oregon and talk to a Recruiter. They'll get you in touch with the 125th STS.

Thank you, Guard MC. Spoke with the 125 STS superintendent and apparently they're at 100% manning. They asked that I send a bio along with my contact info for a possible future PAST test opportunity.

I'll try the same for the 123 STS; and will continue training in the meantime.

Thanks again.
