The recruiter told me that if I pass the PAST I am guaranteed a contract; however, I do not believe that to be the truth. My brother is a SEAL and he enlisted out of highschool. The way it worked for him was that he took the PST and not only did you have to pass it, but they only gave the contracts to the top performers. More help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Your recruiter is correct. If you pass all the required PAST, MEPS physicals, eligibility determinations, etc. you are guaranteed a shot at whatever Battlefield Airmen job you want.

Read the forums though...you may have to wait a while to ship...but being at the top on PAST scores and on the quick ship list may get you to BMT sooner.

Good luck.

Thank you for your swift response! Due to training in the Naval Spec War progra
I am far above the "Iron Man" standards; however, I failed my DP test (without corrective lenses) while at MEPS with the Navy. When I go through MEPS with the USAF can I wear corrective lenses to pass it? And if so, can I wear them again to pass the one at BMT.
Thank you!

Micah,
The Depth Perception Test has been the subject of many posts. Do a search and you'll find that failure of DP itself is not grounds for elimination but you may have to get additional testing at your own expense.
