I've got a class date for September to re-enlist and retrain into CCT. I live in the FWB area and work on Hurlburt currently as a Reservist and have been told that once I re-enlist I will be in student status and assigned to Lackland until completion of CCS. As far as my recruiter knows I won't be eligible for BAH like other AD cross-trainees since I'm coming from the Reserves. I'm going to have to put all of my household goods into storage and I'm assuming pay the cost out of pocket.

Is there any way I can justify receiving BAH with Finance while in training so I can keep my place and avoid storage? Cross-trainees that are on active-duty retraining from this area (Hurlburt) are authorized BAH. I'm assuming all AD retrainees do.

That is a great question for a First Sergeant. If your current First Sergeant can't help, try contacting the First Sergeant at the 23 STS (since you are at Hurlbirt). He's one heck of a First Shirt and if he can't help you, he'll find someone who can.
