I'll soon enlist (intent on CCT), and my wife and I are trying to figure out some details of the next couple years.

I know roughly where I'll be as I go through the pipeline, but where will my wife be?

Will she be on her own to move there while I'm at CCSC? -Or will I be able to come back to help her move?

Also, while in the pipeline, how much will I be home with her?

Thanks again for the help you have already given.

21 Blue,
I don't think you've done a very good search or you would have found the answer. Your wife remains at home until you finish Combat Control School (about a year into the Pipeline). She can join you at Hurlburt Field when you PCS to the Special Tactics Training Squadron at Hurlburt for about a year for Advanced Skills Training.
You won't be home with her during the rest of the Pipeline unless there are breaks in the training schedule (2 weeks at Christmas, gaps between schools that are greater than a couple of weeks, etc). Generally, you'll get a couple of opportunities to take leave in that first year.

Guard MC,
Thank you for your answer. It's more direct and concise than anything else I've found.
You're right, though. I wasn't using the right keywords. After your response, I tried a couple more searches and found it. I'm searching more exhaustively now.

Hey guys! I'm new to these forums. I had a question similar to 21_Blue's and wasn't sure if I should start a new topic for it. But anyways I hoping to succeed in becoming a Combat Controller and I live in washington state and was wondering what the possibilities of requesting a first duty station such as the Special Tactics Squadron at Mcchord AFB? I know the Air Force has the ultimate say of where you will be stationed upon completing training but is it possible to even request such a thing?

yes your can request bases. they have an assignment preference list, or what a lot of people call a "dream sheet". basically you put down bases around the world that your AFSC has possible slots available. then you wait and hope for your 1st choice. i believe you can list up to 8 stateside bases and 8 overseas bases. usually overseas bases trump stateside.
