This may be as obvious as it sounds, but for the sake of clarity I must ask the question either way.

There is 1 document outlining the CRO selection package and 1 outlining the STO selection package. Now, logic would say to go with the CRO document, but reading through the STO package there are paragraphs and sections that would lead one to believe (however slightly) that the STO selection package example groups both STO and CRO into the same format.

The reason I ask is among other differences, the STO app requires 3 LOR's while the CRO specific document only one.

I did a search and didn't turn up anything that pointed to this question, which likely means I am overthinking the issue.

You are overthinking...CRO is an ACC program, STO is an AFSOC program. If you're going CRO use the CRO package...if you're going STO, use the STO package.

I just realized I never responded to this.

Thanks TE, for this ridiculously helpful resource. My package is together except for the PFT which I take November 11th. I'm excited to get this thing going.

Make sure you have a solid plan for the PFT, have everything reserved and measured and know exactly where you're going to do every exercise and what time as well... kind of like an ops order, that way no BS happens... you don't have to have a CRO/PJ, but cadre would be perfect... someone who can count reps and time you and you could also use as a reference. Good luck max it and more!

Thanks, I have the remnants of a stress fracture so I'm worried about the run. I don't want to push the PFT back so far that I'm barely getting my package in on time, however I don't want to underperform and then re-aggravate the injury. I have two days with the pool and track reserved in case something unforseen happens. The 11th and the 18th. Depending on how my foot is feeling I'll probably push it back to the end of November/Early December.

Bad time to get hurt.

Not sure where you are at year wise in AFROTC, but if you're stress fracture is not healing, you may need to address that first. Don't want to be running on 1 engine here, but I know what that's like to want to train, but maybe facing other issues. Hope you heal up quick.

If we are in ROTC and don't have things like the SURF report, it says to write a MFR, where should we attatch that, or should we include it in the first MFR?

It is a separate MFR. The MFR regarding the SURF should be in the same place (attachment 7 for CRO) that the SURF product would be.

Attach 5 requires my cadet field training report and AFOQT score, I have a AFOQT score, but as a sophomore, have no field training reports. If I create a MFR for the absent field training report, and in it put my AFOQT scores would that work?

Secondly, my commander recommended to use my term counceling to replace the field reports.

I want this perfect so I need to know which to do,
A) MFR saying I have no field report, with my AFOQT scores in it
B) MFR saying I have no field report, with my AFOQT sheet behind it
C) MFR saying I am using my term counceling instead of field reports and add both of them
D) None of the above

Here is what the CRO POC said:

Term Counseling reports will be more than satisfactory in lieu of Field Training Report.

So, option "C" is fine.

I will be adding his additional contact info to the contacts page also.
