On the odd days it's says in as little sets as possible, not throughout the day. For me 8 straight sets of 25 would kill me. I usually take 60 secs per set when I do pushups. I'm doining the 100 pushups workout, been stuck on week 4. You guys can probably do well over 100 I bet. Let's let this thread die now, it's getting kinda over done ha. I willjust finish it by saying I'm going to try my best!

i know you said let this thread die now, but if your swimming your 500m in 8min and having a hard time with the push ups Slow down its an endurance test. Dont blow your swim out of the water by 4min then fall short by 10 push ups....thats just poor planing. If you swim it in even 12min then you will save your arms for pulls and push ups. You have 14min for the swim so even if you slow down and maybe switch to a side stroke to save you arms a bit and your still going to pass the swim part no problem at all. Think about each section of the PAST and plan how your going to take it. Tri-athletes do the opposite when they swim, they train to do a front crawl were they hardly use there legs as to save them for the run. Do the same thing if your swim and run are way under just slow down on them and save your arms.

also dont do any work out the day before your PAST maybe even two days if you push your self like crazy until your test. You dont want to go into it sore unless the PAST is basically just a warm up for you.

Good Luck and you can do it and if you do fail once who cares your going to be dep for months so you will get another try at it

Most folks that train on a regular schedule would significantly benefit from at least a week of rest before the PAST...

Agreed with TE, I stopped a week prior and did light swimming and jogging until I was about 2-3 days out. eat smart also; it's not that crazy of a test but you want to get the most out of it!

Good luck.

TheDon, I agree with what you said, but isn't the slowest you can do your 500m like 11:19 now? a 12 min 500m wouldn't be passing would it?

The max swim time for CCT is 14 minutes...11:30 for PJ. The PAST requirements are at the top of the forums in the ST Related Documents forum...read them and you won't have questions on times.

I'm about to close this thread because Workouts to get ready for indoc/selection are on the site and it has been discussed A LOT.
