Just ordered some of the suggested reads from this site. After I ordered I came across these two books, Elite Forces and Spec. Ops. Fitness Training. Have any of you guys read these? Are they worth it? I don't know if they will help much more than Workouts found here. Are there other "fitness" books that would be better?

I just borrowed,"The Special Ops workout" from a buddy. It's definately worth buying in my opinion, tells you a little bit about evrything from Navy, Air Force, Army, etc. Also has several great work out plans, Stretches, exercises, nutrition.

I have read "Special Ops Fitness Training" and "The Special Ops workout". They have some decent material in there including training plans and a handful of Workouts. I would recommend borrowing the books from a library or friend and taking the knowledge from them that you can. If you can do the SOPWOD that is posted on the special tactics forum these books may not benefit you tremendously, that is just my oppinion.

Thanks for the info guys! Sounds like I might head to the book store and check these out first to be sure they will work for me.
