I am beginning my paperwork for crosstraining to CCT and have a question regarding my Active Duty wife. We are both currently on special duty at Lackland (controlled tour until Feb 2012). I know she can PCS with me to Hurlburt for AST on joint-spouse for the year or so I am there.

My question is, what happens after AST if I get assigned to another unit (hopefully)? Will the Air Force joint-spouse us again and follow me? I know budgets are tight in the AF, so we just want to know if she should just stay at Lackland during AST or not. If she cant joint spouse from AST, then she will just stay. Better seperated for a year than several. Thanks for your help on this rare case.
