I'm leaving for boot camp April 6th and i'm in need of new running shoes. I understand that you may bring white new balance with you to use, but if not they will issue you your own.

My question is how are the running shoes they issue? Do they cater to under/overpronating?

I will be headed to CCOC after bmt and am wondering if i should bother getting white NB before i leave or go ahead and get my normal running shoe to use before i leave and at CCOC.

Maybe anyone who has been there recently could chime in? Thanks

You can run in whatever shoes you want in basic aslong as they aren't bright ***** colors.

So whatever your bring with you is good to go?

I just asked my recruiter this same question today and he said the same as Brettk. So no bright yellow Nike's, etc. Keep it very conservative (i.e. White) because you do not want to stick out.

I just realized how poorly typed my question was.. sorry.

Majority of running shoes have some sort of off color, i.e.- my shoes now are dark gray, black, and have partially green tread and two stripes running up it.. is that pushing the limit? Are dark colors allowed or only white/light colors?

I apologize for all the questions, my recruiter usually answers me by, "I'll get back to you about that".

They will allow you to buy running shoes at BMT. I saw all manors of colors while there. You only really wear them during sneaker week and PT in the mornings, it isn't really a big deal what they look like. We had some really bright ones in my flight and nothing was ever said.
