Hey guys, has anyone purchased or used the Skechers "shape up" shoes? I'm trying to find some good running shoes. I use the "POSE RUNNING" method, so i don't do the heal toe strike thing. Anyone have good running shoes recommendations for "POSE RUNNING"?

I don't see how you could do any serious training in those shoes and I don't see how anyone could take the shoes seriously. If you like taking long walks, I'm sure those shoes would be great.

Basically for running shoes you want to find shoes that don't have a huge heel (which are designed for heel strikers.) So, some examples would be Addidas Addizero "pros," Mizuno Wave universe 2, and Inov-8 shoes.

That's what I figured those skechers were for. For walking not running. I'll look into those addidas. Thanks.

Check out Vibrams Five Fingers. Shoes are awesome, they may look funky but they work especially well for POSE. I have had constant injuries due to running in overly padded shoes. No problems since i got them, i used to hate running. I enjoy it now

Thanks Funk, I had looked at those shoes but I wasn't sure. I haven't really heard much about them, but yeah man I'll look at'em as well and hopefully I'll find me a pair where I can try them and see how they feel. Going shoe shopping in two weeks.

I don't know that Vibrams would be all that great for a training program with a lot of running. I don't have them, but from what I understand they're good because they help you with your running technique. However, until you're fully accustomed to the shoes you won't be able to do any longer runs with them.

If I were to purchase Vibrams, I would use them for shorter interval work and maybe some Crossfit Workouts. But that's just me...

Good point, well right now I haven't really done much long distance. I'm doing 1 interval work out a week, 1 to 2 tempo runs (20 to 30 minutes), 1 fartlek run and 1 to 2 "long" runs that are about 6 miles. So who knows they might work. But there's a store here in Dallas that sells them and has a little track in the store were you can test them.
