My name is Brian, 26, active duty about 4 years, and early retraining into PJ eligible. I'll try to keep it short. Originally I had signed up to go PJ, took the PAST(passed) and wait awaiting BMT date. At the time depth perception was a requirement and, after 3 months of waiting, MEPS said I failed that test. Not knowing a thing about challenging it by going to an optometrist and financially troubled I signed up for my second choice as a firefighter.(BTW I recently passed the DP test no problems) Firefighting was fun, but wasn’t what I had expected and soon left me wanting more. I have always wanted something more challenging in every aspect. So 4 years later, getting back to the pool(my weak point), using the SOWOD's, and anxiously awaiting an INDOC date.
