I dont know if this is the right place to post this but anyway heres my question/situation. I recently had to sell my truck due to financial reasons and in its place purchased a bike to get me around town. I live in chico, ca a good size town about 7-8 miles from one side to the other. im currently training for pararescue following all nate morrisons tips and ideas and following the 10k program for running in jeff galloways book on running like he recommended. my schedule for running and swimming is 3 times a week each, alternating days so for example m/w/f run, t/th/s swim. now my question. would riding my bike to get around town and following the schedule above set me up for overtraing and hinder my performances? if so should i cut out a day off swimming and running to rest or what should i do? i also work landscaping 3 times a week. any help, tips, ideas whatever would be appreciated thank you

I wouldn't worry too much about the biking resulting in over training if you bike nice and easy most of the time. Just pay attention as you go to see signes of overtraining; chronich fatige and soreness, decreased performance over longer distances, etc. If you see signes of overtraining, then lessen your run or swim distances or take a day off of the swimming or running altogether.
