I am currently working with my recruiter on becoming a CRO, I take my AFOQT this weekend, have been in Civil Air Patrol 11 years and an Adv. Ranger/Type 1 SAR specialist. To get to the point, I have been looking for someone around here either CRO, PJ, STO, or CCT applicant/hopeful that may want to work out, run, swim together. I have been working out for years, but seriously with the intention meeting the graduation requirements for the pipeline for the last year and a half. I realized I work out better when working out with someone, as I am competitive, and I think we could mutually benefit from working out together.

Anybody interested?

Please don't yell at me. Just bumping this for myself, in case anyone from my area has stumbled upon this site since my OP but not the OP itself.

May want to call the 103 RQS at Gabreski...a PJ or CRO may be willing to help/train.

I'll be heading up that way mid April to enlist with the 103rd as soon as I'm finished terminal leave. I'll PM you once I get up that way.

TE: I thought about that but I since I actually don't have an interest in join the 103rd, or the ANG for that matter, at this time they wouldn't waste any resources on me. I asked the recruiter I was working with to contact their PJ recruiter months ago, explain my plans, and research the possibility of this for me but I guess since he's never really done anything for me or answered any questions regarding the career field (correctly) I left it at that. Maybe I'll follow up with him on that.

RRaymond: Definetely! Those long runs are getting boring by myself. I'm kicking off my open water swims again in the LI Sound in May so bring a wetsuit.

I saying one of the PJs or CROs may workout with you and/or give you some pointers at least...not necessarily waste any resources per se.

JMKeupp,
I'm stationed out in Northport (Coast Guard), I've been trying to stay up on the fitness for indoc. PM if you wanna get together sometime. I'm always down to run, swim, cycle, hike, surf, etc. And the 103rd guys are a great group, I havent worked out with any of them, but a guy over there has been helping me out with transferring services and getting my package together. It couldnt hurt to ask.
