My boyfriend is working his way through the CCT Pipeline right now. He's still got a ways to go (he's in SERE now), but he's doing really well and he wants this so badly. I'm wondering, what would a future be like for the wife of a combat controller? I understand that there are a lot of sacrifices to be made with this job and a lot of it's classified, but I'm sick of everything being "sugar coated" so much. I just want somebody to be realistic with me. Let's say he gets through the pipeline and everything, what's my life going to be like. I respect him and I'm so proud of him for what he's doing. Anyone willing to make such sacrifices is incredible in my mind, and I'd give up anything for him. I want to be there to support him always, but I also want somebody to be realistic with me... what's this life really like. He doesn't have a lot of information and there's not much out there to research as this job is so classified. As I said, I understand why he's doing this and I support him fully, I just want to know what to expect.
