I work at Eglin but I live closer to Hurlburt so I train at both places. Anyone still training on a consistent basis?

Best place to meet training partners is at the base pool 1530-1730 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Not that I know of. You'll find everything you need at Hurlburt's facilities to get into whatever kind of condition you want.

Hurlburts gym does have crossfit oriented equipment and also has kettlebell equipment...as TR64 says, the gyms will certainly fulfill your fitness requirements.

The Crossfit affiliate locally has shut down, but sounds like they'l try to make n effort to come back some time. Here is the link for their site if you're interested in checking in on the status: http://www.crossfitemeraldcoast.com/
Other than that, Ditto what TE said. Also, these's a group of us that get together frequently and use the SOPWODs/crosfit WODs if you're interested.

Hey I just wanted to say that I'm back in the area and will be until March/April if anyone is looking to meet up and workout. I know a bunch of you guys hit the hurlburt pool but the hours there don't work for me so I go to the Fort Walton YMCA. But I'll still be hitting up the Aderholt track and gym pretty consistently if anyone ever needs a partner or whatnot.

Doc Wright also helps out a group of guys a couple times a week. Out at the Holley By the Sea pool. You would have to get with TheRoad64 to get a better idea of the schedule i just started going so i dont know it well yet.

They work on swimming/underwaters/watercon/etc. It's actually very good learning experience!

Update for Hurlburt Base pool. Coach Dan Kaster offers free swim lessons five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday, 1200-1400.

I leave in January, shoot a PM if you want to train with me between now and then on Hurlburt.
