I was reading cnn.com the other day and saw a banner ad for something called FRS (www.frs.com) I saw that it was endorsed by Lance Armstrong, and as a former competitve cyclist it perked my interest.

I've looked up a few reviews online, but those can sometimes can be suspect. I was just wondering if anyone had ever used it, or if some like Guard MC might be able to decipher the science mumbo jumbo on the site.

It seems like they're advertising it as the do-all energy supplement.

In my opinion this product seems pretty legit, but they are jumping on this new "free radical" craze everyone seems to be talking about now-a-days. The same effect can be achieved through vitamin supplements, mainly 1000mg of vitamin E and C per day. I learned through organic chemistry classes that vitamin E is one of the best best antioxidants, which helps prevent these "free radicals" and the aging process by preventing the breakdown of your DNA molecules.

As for the the quercetin and catechins they talk about; these can be found in green tea. I have been taking green tea pills myself, which really seem to help with Workouts if you're looking for pure fat burn. These are metabolic stimulants to basically keep you burning calories even when you aren't staying active throughout the entire day. Its purpose is to keep your metabolism going for several hours after you ingest it. However, by doing this you need to be careful because green tea has natural caffeine and may make some people jittery (which may be the case with very much of this drink as well). After a few weeks of taking these, I did notice that I became restless while in bed some nights. But, the pills did what I expected them to and gave an increase in energy during Workouts, and I was able to note steady fat loss while maintaining the same workout routine.

In other words, the people that made this drink seem to know what they're doing, and I'm actually excited to try this drink when I can get it in my area.

I wasn't impressed with FRS. I was pretty excited to try it out, but didn't notice much of a difference.

In FRS's defense. I only tried it out for a week, and I've heard that you get the real benefit from long term use.
