I was just curious if CCT's ever have the option of volunteering to go through other military training not listed in AST such as Ranger School?

Why do people want to do that? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> At any rate, from what I've read in past posts (hint hint), people have done it, but its a bit challenging to get a slot.

Yo... Hey man...speaking from second hand knowledge here. My old man was an instructor with 6th RTB at Camp Rudder in Crestview, Fl. That's the last stage of ranger school. I've asked hundreds of times "Did any PJ's/or CCT's ever quit?" His answer..."Never on me" I asked because he loves to tell stories to his friends about how SEAL's would come up and tell him "Staff Sergeant...I just can't take it" heh.

The USAF sends guys to Ranger School every year, mostly cops. PJ and CCT have attended and normally are top in the class when they do go, but we really don't "need" Ranger school. Its more of a "badge collector" for ST guys since they already have tough schools and our mission is not infantry. As for USAF SF, they go since they need the basic tactics for air base defense, but they only get about 6-8 through a year.
