Hey guys, i just passed the PAST test and enlisted in the ANG out in westhampton, NY im leaving for basic in a little while and that puts me in either the 004 or 005. the recruiter is getting that all together right now. out of curiosity does anyone know the exact dates for the 004 and 005 classes? there seems to be some confusion about them out at my unit because of the elimination of the prep course. so if any one knows PM i would appreciate it

also, since the 6th is a friday, do you guys think our first "real" day will be monday the 9th? as of now, like REMF EATER, my rip states 6 july but im hoping i can get there sooner. i figure the more time i spend there before team starts the better...

doesn't the July date start on the 16th? Maybe I read wrong. But in either case I'm in that group.

spital - the old dates on the site indicate that Class 004 ends on Jul 16 & Class 005 begins on Jul 2 if this is the one you are referring to? However, the elimination of the Prep course has caused all of the formal Indoc dates to be shifted. Because of this, Class 005 will now begin on 6 Jul as REMF EATER stated.

in other words, when you get your rip, get leave approved a week or 2 before the start date- im gonna try and get there at the end of june

I was curious about this...I thought I read somewhere that they didn't want us to show up at the dorms more than 24 hours prior to the start date. If we do show up early, do we just crash at a hotel until then?

ok- i justed spoke with Sgt Blue (the PJ MTL at lackland) and he said you can move in the dorms according to whatever day you have on your orders.
for example, all of our orders should say 6 july is the start date. i chose the leave en route option for 7 days prior, so my orders state 29 jun.
so friday, 29 june, i can show up at the dorms and in process/get a dorm, etc.
if anyone really thinks theyre gonna need a hotel, PM me and maybe we can work something out

Hey all,
I'm hoping to make the 005 class. It would be cool to get a PM or two from others who will be on this team, helps to build friends early.

005 Crosstrainees- Make sure you got your ETCA course description/reporting instructions for Indoc from https://etca.randolph.af.mil/ . Download both the Indoc and Combat Dive reporting instructions since dive is supposed to match up to Indoc graduation. Both have packing lists. Recommend you pack everything on both lists. Remember, most airlines limit your baggage weight to 50 lbs without penalty and our orders don't authorize any excess baggage. That means any extra stuff you bring over the two bags at 50 lbs each will be paid out of pocket. Any questions I will do my best to get you a valid answer.
