I would recommend you buckle down and pass the eval to become a PJ. I went though indoc as a CCT in 1989. It's hard as hell but don't take your second choice because you failed your eval. I would have never been happy being a PJ if I failed when it came to CCS. I don't think you would be happy as CCT if your first choice is becoming a PJ. They are both great jobs but I couldn't stand being around sick people or blood and all that IV stuff. It's just not for me, however CCT stuff was perfect. I feel you want to be a PJ and you shouldn't give up on that. Do it at all cost just get tough on yourself. If you failed it's because you didn't take the time to prep. Being in STS your going to have to help out on some CCT related missions anyway and I remember carrying a litter or two to help out my PJ brothers when they needed it. In addition to this I have deployed on many real world ops and I took lots of cool pictures all over the world. 99% of the time if I was there a PJ was a stones throw away. Okay I'll get off my soap box. Oh yea! Being Bi-lingual is an advantage in both jobs so quit making excuses and get to work becoming a PJ!

I agree with NR. Stick to what you began with. Don't worry, good operators like NR will let you carry his batteries if you want to play more of the CCT role as an STS PJ. The last thing you want to do is to see your old OL teammates as anything other than a PJ. I am not certain, but it may not be possible to do CCT after trying PJ.
NR, Hope all is well. Drop me an email sometime. Do you know where Mc"9 mil" is?

I am not an operator and have no experience with either course, nor job, nor seeing your OL buddies, or anything like that. But I do know that I used to like comic books when I was younger, but won't spend a dime on them today. People change. I think you have to really, REALLY examine what you want to do, and do that. Just make sure you are doing it for the right reasons (job satisfaction, life-goals, etc whatever applies for you) and not because you are afraid of failing indoc again. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Bi-Lingual is a great asset, especially if you can spell!

NR -
I recieved your reply! This was not a slam and was meant as a joke to go with the bi-lingual comment. If you can't figure things like that out - I can't help it. If you look at some other posts, mine included, there are spelling and grammar errors throughout - nobody is trying to be the post police there! As for being a staff geek, yep I'm guilty as charged. But in case you don't know, I spent more time on the teams than most have in the service. Now I'm just an old guy that is out of touch and has nothing more to do than slam people for spelling. tb out...................

I am glad to see that NR did you the respect of commenting to you personally. I wish more people would follow his lead and take up individual issues with the respective individuals. TB, I would have sent this to you personally, but seeing that you (and others) will respond in the forum, it is better served here.

Hey TB,
No sweat, I took it the wrong way. It's hard to read what people really mean in this digital world. Fogive me for my comments and it was nice to hear from you. I hope things are well for you and yours.

JCB1983, if you need to play with your ninja turtles each day to get by, then so be it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> You'll have plenty of time to do what you want, but you'll probably find that rack time (sleep) is the most important.
