According to AFI 36-2903, those badges are only authorized for wear while performing duties with the other service.

Last I knew, the EIB could only officially be awarded to 11 and 18 series MOS's, and was never allowed for wear in the USAF. Based on that criteria, they actually should never have awarded it to you. The CIB was/is allowed in the USAF, and some have tried to stretch that authorization to the EIB. Don't be one of them...

The EFMB can be awarded to medical personnel in other services, and I believe it is one of the few badges that can also be worn while in the USAF - Regardless of AFSC or duty assignment.

Remember - As a special operator, you definitely don't want to be doing anything to reduce your personal credibility, or that of your Team. That's the voice of experience (unfortunately), so take it for what it's worth.

Check the AFI for more details. If it turns out you can't wear them, at least you know in your own mind that you earned them. I'm sure you'll find, over time, that these things mean less and less to you as your accomplishments and experiences grow.

God Bless!

As I RE-READ <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> the AFI it appears that the CIB and "Army Medical Badge" are authorized to wear no matter what unit of assignment/duty...that should include the EFMB.

I'm having problems downloading the AFI's on my computer and I don't know where else to read up on them. What about the Army Air Assault badge which I have as an aircraft maintenance guy? Is it legal and do you think that this would bring that unneeded 'extra' attention at Orientation and on through the Pipeline?

IAW with the AFI, you are not allowed to wear the air assault badge unless performing duty with other service air assault units.
