Just wondering if anyone can give me some guidance on being married mil to mil while in the pipeline, whether or not your wife was still on an AEF or was she in a non deployable status while you're in the pipline? Just throwing it out there, although i'm probably sure it's just wishful thinking. i know we have dependent care plans for such situations and, i've had to use it before but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Is it just you and your wife, no kids? If it's just you and your wife, I'm sure it's not different than anyother AEF rotation, and she would likely be depolyed when her time comes. I've seen Mil-Mil deploy at different intervals, to differnt places not getting to see each other for over a year. If you guys have kids I'm sure it's going to be a different story, and her commander might be able to work something out. I hope that helps a bit.

Hey i really appreciate the advice. Yes we have two little ones. In 04 my wife deployed in Jan. came back in may we spent 3 days ( i should be greatful!) together and i deployed till sept. the whole time my daughter was 16 hours away. We only had her at the time. due to my job and the high ops at that time i couldn't keep her so we had to send her away. it sucked but the mission is the mission. i guess i was just hoping for a little stability while in the pipeline. You would think that with the job that most of the people on this site want to attain and perform. The big blue Air Force would give you some kind of lee-way. But hey that's the nature of the beast i guess. thanks again Pyro18t...
