I'm prone to shin splints, but after changing my shoes (all of them or their insoles) last spring, they have died away and I can run fine now.

However recently I've been having this feeling on the outside rear of my left ankle, it feels like it's being compressed. If I roll my foot inward to a slightly exagerated degree, it relieves the discomfort.

My guess would be that I need more arch support in said shoes, but I was curious if anyone had any other ideas.
