I'll post my intro first...my name is jason...I'm an AD SrA stationed at the medina rsoc as a linguist. I'm looking into doing a crosstrain within the next year.

Onto my question

Under the documents and selection section, in the PJ Consolidated fact sheet, it says after successful completion from AFCDC, you pcs to Kirtland for the remainder of the Pipeline. I've read some recent posts that contradict this, saying you are sent on TDY status to every pipeline school. Is the fact sheet the most recent, and more correct version? Thanks.

TDY from Kirtland to SERE/MFF/Airborne/Paramedic..

Unless you are at Lackland waiting for Scuba, in which case you may be TDY from Lackland to SERE or Airborne.

By the time you could possibly be at Indoc, the wait list for Scuba should be resolved. All cones will go straight to the dive school after Indoc completion.

Thanks for the clarification. I posted an add on, or at least I thought I did, to my post yesterday. My daughter was diagnosed with Septo-Optic Dysplasia at birth. She's in the EFMP, and I was curious if that would hinder the retraining process at all? Thanks again.

you can take your family with you when you PCS to Kirtland or if you're from a guard/reserve unit they may send you TDY with PCS entitlements, pretty much the same thing. Hope this helps

Just one more question to add on, hopefully someone here has the answer. I have already been on active duty for 44 months on a six year contract, so I can submit a retraining request using the exception to policy. My question is will I be required to sign a new enlistment contract before entering PJ training, or after graduation of the Pipeline? Thanks

You will most likely need to satisfy retainablility by extending. Check out table 3.3 of AFI 36-2626.

It is mandatory for all First term Amn to extend for 23 months beyond there current ETS for any retrain. I managed to get away with it for a while but half way through the pipeline they figured out that they forgot and got me anyways!

Yes you will need to extend for a minimum of 23 months for first term airmen. I did the 23 month extension on my first re-train and when I submitted my application to retrain into pararescue I had to extend 44 months. Since I was in my last month of my enlistment prior to attending Indoc it was a requirement, at least they didnt make me re-enlist which surprised me. Good luck!
