Ok first off we all know how well running helps...And when you don't have a chance to go running "due to weather, or other reasons" you can run in place. Well how do they compair? I mean how much does running in place benifit you compaired to running normal? It seems like i can run in place forever "2 hours" but just regular running I can't run more then a hour. So regular running takes more out of you? Even if your running place at the same pace?

Pick your knees up and go faster if you're going to run in place.

If I don't have the space to run for real nor a treadmill, I prefer not to just run in place. Instead I like to do a nonstop series of cals with running in place as part of the routine. 20 minutes on nonstop push ups, abs, hip flexor, squat thrusts, 8 count body builders, mountain clibers, lunges, iron mikes, star bursts, etc and you will be just as smoked as you can possibly get and your cardio and legs will be maxed. Running in place, even with knees high at a fast tempo just isn't as effective as the nonstop cals. Try it, just think of every exercise you know and throw them together. It's fun and it will leave you in a crumpled heap on the floor. MC
