Is there a CCT Creed? I know there's one for PJs but I thought for sure there was one for CCT. If it exists could someone post it?

Thanks
Rob

"First There" is what's written on the patch.

Vern, "First There" I think is the motto just like "That Others May Live". The PJ Creed is below.

Pararescue Creed
It is my duty as a Pararescueman to
save a life and to aid the injured.
I will perform my assigned duties quickly
and efficiently, placing these duties before
personal desires and comforts.
These things I do,
"That Others May Live."

Is there something like this for CCT?

Thanks
Rob

I went through the OL-H in 1993, it has been a long time.

Somewhere I have a printout of it. I know it has been changed a bit since I went through as well. Have a printout of that too, but I just moved and everything is boxed up still.

Surely someone younger than I, a mere cone even, will no the answer to this.

Hoo Ya!

So far it seems as no one knows the CCT Creed. Maybe I should post this in the Stump The Chump section <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I did some searches on google and still can't seem to find anything. I wonder if it still exists within the pipeline. When I "attempted" indoc back in '98 I thought we had to memorize the creed/code. Well I'll keep searching.

It does! My bro is in ATC right now and when he was going through CCTO he told it to me. You're expected to memorize it within the first couple of days i believe.

Just to clarify things, you do not recite the CCT Creed at CCT Orientation, you must memorize the mission statement. It is: (Combat Controllers are Special Tactics Operators who establish assault zones, while simultaneously providing; Air Traffic Control, Fire Support and Command and Control communications in the joint arena. Additionally, Combat Controllers expertly employ all-terrain vehicles, amphibious vehicles, weapons and demolitions. First There. Hooyah)

Old Unofficial:

1. "First in, last out!"

2. There were business cards with the following (and more):
"Live by chance, love by choice, killer by profession, hero of the oppressed." (Author, teacher, lecturer, tigers tamed, etc.)

This is not exactly a creed, but it comes out occasionally after a few drinks...
Sung to the I've been working on the railroad melody

Gents...FYI...The mission statement is:
The mission of a Combat Controller is to deploy by the most feasible means available into combat and non-permissive environments. Combat Controllers are Special Tactics Operators who establish assault zones while simultaneously providing air traffic control, fire support, and command and control communications in the joint arena. Additionally, combat controllers expertly employ all terrain vehicles, amphibious vehicles, weapons and demolitions. First There. Hooyah!
Enjoy
