A couple of days ago I got Nate's video and my KB (I named her Olga). I only have one workout under my belt, but I can't tell you how excited I am to continue. Now on to the questions.

1. I already have Nate's video (which is really good) is the RKC video still something I should purchase? Does it add enough information for me to justify buying it?
2. What about the Super Joints video? Have you guys found the techniques to be really beneficial?
3. It's been two days since my first foray into the world of KBs and my hamstrings are really, really sore. I think I may be going to far down on the box squat that you use during the ballistic drills. Either that or my legs are just in really terrible shape. SSgt Morrison (or anyone else who knows) I noticed on your video that while doing the 2-armed swing, the 1-arm snatch and the 1-arm clean it appeared that after picking up the KB you did not go into a full (as far down as you can) box squat. When doing reps should you always go down into a full box squat? Or should your thighs be parallel to the ground? A little higher than that? Or just whatever feels comfortable?

Thanks guys.

As far as the box squat, as long as you're doing it correctly, do whatever is comfortable...correct form and technique is much more important than how deep the box squat is. For variety or to make the Workouts harder, you can go deeper (some guys stand on blocks to get a really deep squat without hitting the KB on the ground)...but many guys including the SRKCIs didn't go down all that far (especially when going for more reps).

At the RKC certification, on just about every exercise, all the Senior RKCs demonstrated their personal techniques...which illustrated that as long as your basic technique is correct (good box squat, hip snap, tension, etc.) you can do variations to suit your body type, comfort, and level of training.

As far as the other video, its always good to see more and learn more...but truthfully, I think Nate's video is great until you get a few weeks/months experience.

I LOVE super-joints...others have said so as well...recommended.

I have the RKC video and it helped a lot (it was my first). But if you already have Nate's, then you really dont need to see the RKC video because Nate covered everything and more. IMHO, Save your money for something like Super-Joints (as TE said), or your next, heavier, kettlebell.

Personally, I like videos, but if you learn better from reading and can visualize...choose.
