I know that i'm not going to want to be up in my boyfriends hair too much while he is away during indoc. but i do want to be as supportive as i can to let him know never to quit because he has the determination to not fail indoc and pararescue, I was just curious to find out whether the trainees have time to make phone calls and receive mail and if so when do they? I also was curious to find out if they are allowed leave after indoc. or if they must go straight to their first pipeline class. I've been trying to find out as much information about Pararescue as i can but there aren't really any website you can go to that are for the Family side of the job, so i'm bugging you guys for any info you can give me, It would be greatly appricated. THANKS!!! Good luck to all those future PJS currently going through the Pipeline and good luck to the next class going into indoc. (that's where my honey will be too July 19th)

In my case my husband had a cell phone. After his work day he still had things to do. (shine his boots, pack his ruck, iron his uniform, wash,...) I sent him a handsfree for his phone so he could call me while doing these things. He was able to get mail, but, did not always have the time to get to the mail room. So, when I sent a package I tracked it on the fedex. When I saw it was delivered I would call and tell him to pick it up. Good luck to your boyfriend!

From my experience it is not as bad as BMT. They can call, they can get packages, they do have some freedoms. On the flip side, they are under more stress. He may not be able to call every night. Not becasue he not allowed to, but, becasue he is busy doing other things he needs to get done. His time there will be stressful for both of you.
