I have a question about the letter of intent I need to file. I'm not shure of when I need to submit it, does it have to be in during my window or does it matter. I'm shure this has been asked befor but i'm having trouble finding the answer. My mpf gave a deer in the head lights look when I asked them. Any ideas on where I can go would help. Thanks you guys have been a huge help and a great motivator for me.

That will tell you about the letter of intent and the information you need to send with it. I think it is within 3 months before you PCS back to conus but im not sure. Read up!

The letter of intent serves as a "notification" to your gaining unit and MPF that you intend to crosstrain once you PCS back to CONUS...so, until you know where you're going (base/unit) it serves no purpose to submit something.

Once you know where you're going (base/unit per your PCS orders) submit the letter of intent to the GAINING MPF and unit which will serve to notify them of your intent. If you take the PAST prior to PCS include the results.

FYI, I'm getting some additional info on xtraining, exceptions to policy, procedures, etc. and will post ASAP.
