im a second termer, and i am in a 2AXXX careerfield, My MPF says that 2AXXX can only x-train to another 2AXXX or a 1AXXX not CCT or PJ! and lord knows i dont wanna be a F-15 crewchief or a flight attendant, or FE and those are the only things open, does anyone know any way around this? or any special waivers? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

If your MPF does not know what a note 518 AFSC is then show them the web page. If your still not being hekped ask for the guys boss, his boss, etc. If that doesn't work, then you can call the ST recruiter and get him involved.

as a matter of fact i did get a hold of someone down at hurlburt, and the AFPC folk, and they took afew but they answered my question via a CMSgt... i have to do an exeption to policy due to the AF trying to keep the mechanics all tied down, but since they need more 1C2 AFSC's they will bend the rules some. thanks for the help dudes!!!! now i must press on... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You have to write an exception to policy letter regardless of what you're AFSC is; unless you're in the "normal" retraining window.

I'd post a copy of my exception to policy, but I can only find copies of my flight physical.
