Im not really satisfied/bored with the lifting program I came up with for myself so I looked into some that are on this site for some other ideas. I found some that i like and some really good ideas but their were some thing i havent the faintest idea what they are...

plyo push-ups
shoulder tubing
tubing curcuit
30's
preacher curls

I did a search for them in the forums and tried to find descriptions on the site but i didnt get any help there. If some one could help or at least point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it!

thanks

plyo push ups is a plyometric exercise with push ups. this can be a push up with clapping in the hands between. (also perform a push up and push up hard so your hands leave the ground and you perform a hand clap before your hands reach the floor again). Another option can be you have to blocks were your hands rest on in p.u. position then you push off and land between the blocks on the floor perform immediate a push up and bounds of again and land on the blocks again. (remember not to rest but make it 1 contionuous motion).

Tubing exercises refer to using rubber resistance instead of weights, like bulk cables or the chest expander. (see eg at lifelineusa how they look). with them you can do circuits or just exercises for the shoulders. In fact you can do the same exercises with them as with weights. As I personally prefer to workout at home (instead at an expensive gym were you cannot train the way I want as you might have to wait or you have to move between those beach bubbles who are only flexing the biceps in front of the others to see who has the biggest guns) I have no place for weights so I use rubber resistance like the power push up, cables, strands (aka chest expanders) power wheel etc. But I have not the intention to become the next Arnie or rambi si these attributes help me to be fit and ready.

Hope this helps.

jmatth,
its good you searched, but sometimes the info doesn't come up on the search engine. You'll have to 'dig in' the topics and read all of it. Like RELLICKs posts on THE workout.

Preacher curls: http://www.2-fit.com/video/pcurls.htm

Although I like free weights 200% better

30’s are interior, exterior, and posterior raises. For the interior simply stand up strait with 2 dumbbells and raise your arms up strait in front of you to 90 degrees. The exterior it is the same motion but moving the hands out to the sides to 90 degrees starting with your hands on your hips. The posterior is like a DB fly but reversed. Chest down on a bench and do a fly movement. This is done to work your shoulder capsules, scapulas, rotor cuffs, and delts. It is an important shoulder movement and should be done slowly and regularly.
