This may sound like a stupid topic but it is something that may need to be addressed (or readdressed).

Recently during a road run I was passed by a large tractor trailer heading the other way. He was carrying gravel and running just a bit higher than the posted speed limit. A loose piece of gravel or a rock kicked up from the road and made a bee line for my innocent little head. A broken pair of Oakley's and a nice facial bruise later I was reminded why Eye protection (stylish or not) is always a good idea when dealing with environments that have rouge, fast moving, eye damaging projectiles.

Sounds like common sense (and is!) but sometimes we tend to get over focused, over motivated then overlook the small things like proper protection for our peepers.
