Combat Rescue Officer Advanced SERE Training (CTS Exercise)
Course Description:
27 Day course to train Combat Rescue Officers (CRO) in advanced SERE tactics, techniques, and procedures necessary to meet personnel recovery (PR) mission objectives. Familiarize CROs with SERE Specialists' career field core mission and overall employment throughout the Air Force. Enhance CRO ability to operate across the spectrum of engagement; to include operations other than war. Medical records, AF Form 1480A or DD Form 2766 must be hand-carried and include SF 600, Health Record Chronological Record of Medical Care, documented by flight surgeon, medical officer, or senior medical technician (4N071) with the following statement, "I certify that this member's medical records have been screened and their health history reviewed for any significant acute or chronic medical conditions precluding training attendance. ATTENDANCE IS ONLY AUTHORIZED FOR THE COMBAT RESCUE OFFICER AIR FORCE SPECIALTY. All CRO attendees must be graduates of Course S-V80-A, Combat SERE Training. Exercise includes classroom and field operations; to include alternate insertion/extraction and airborne activities. COURSE
OVERVIEW:
DAYS 1-3 will be spent on base, either in the academic
classroom or with your field instructors preparing to deploy to the field. (0700
- 1700)
DAYS 4-11 will be spent in a field training environment with
SERE Specialists candidates and will conclude with a personnel recovery exercise
in a desert area of operations. Additionally, one day will be
devoted to a comprehensive after action/HOTWASH of all operational field
training activities.
DAYS 12-21 will include an overview of the SERE Specialist
career field. To include; filed training, resistance training, operational
support, and specific MAJCOM employment within the SERE Triad concept.
DAYS 22-26 will include conduct after capture for operations
other than war.
DAY 27 will include a comprehensive HOTWASH of all
exercise/training activities. Equipment List:
